Right now Omar Minaya must be saying to himself, what else could I offer these free agents. The Mets offered Jason Bay 1 more year and about 18 million dollars more to get him to sign his deal, but then again the Red Sox walked away from Bay because of knee problems.
The Mets offered Benji Molina 2 years at 5 Million per year. He ran away from the Mets and back to San Francisco for 1 year at 4.5 Million. Then they offered Joel Pinerio 3 years at 10 Million per year, and then Ben Sheets about 5 Million dollars. All three of these guys ran far away from the New Citi Field. Is this due to the players on the team? Maybe the Mets fans chased these players away? Maybe the coach and his sinster laugh scared them away.
NO! it was the GM, the Ownership, and Leadership of the New York Mets. They remind me of the 1980's New York Yankees, when George tried to run everything. He gave us about 10 years of horrible decision making and poor team management. Is this what the Mets are in store for? Will they have to endure seasons of lack luster performance and missing the playoffs.
Omar must be sitting at hs desk in Citi Field wondering who he can call next. Omar it may take more thank Just money, you better start lighting some candles and visiting St. Patricks for a change of fortune at Citi Field.
Good Luck!

Jets Continue to Tear the Heart out of their Fan!!!

Yesterday January 24 2010, the New York Jets lost a very one sided game to the Indianapolis Colts. The Jets seemed to have the best defense in Football all year, but when push came to shove the best defense didn't bother showing up to the game. In the first two quarters of the game it appeared the Jets had Peyton Manning and the Colts offense locked down.
But then......Peyton Manning showed why he is the very best quarterback in the NFL. He began to pick apart the Jets Defense, including the All-Pro "Best Defensive Player "in the league Darell Reevis. Peyton threw to his weak spot underneath coverage. Peyton began to point out the blitzer on every defensive scheme, the Jets and Rex Ryan looked puzzled.
The Jets went into Half time up 17-13 and everyone watching on TV and at Lucas Oil Stadium knew that the score did not reflect the feeling in the game. The pulse of the game which the Jets had till about 4 minutes left in the 2nd quarter, after Peyton's touchdown pass to Austin Collie everything changed.
After the game something Rex Ryan did not do all year, he made excuses for their loss. Instead of sucking up the fact that he talked trash all week long. He talked about their past game against the Colts and being disrespected because they pulled their starters. Well Peyton Manning let his game speak for both games, he was the difference maker. He turned Rex's talk against him when he said "We work hard and don't talk much"...Rex have that one.
Jet fans maybe next year...You should be use to hearing that by now. Just like the New York Mets, the Jet fan must continue to bare the pain of the continued failure. Jet fans learn the hard way not to buy the Plane tickets before the win.

Difficulties staying connected
I have found it difficult to say connected with God. So many times I have talked about praying, reading your word, and having time to spend with God. Every day I find it harder and harder to do just this. Its like Paul said the spirit is willign but the flesh is weak.
I woke up yeaterday and tried spending my morning time with God. I continued to hit a wall, I pressed on but didn't reach that place where you finally hear God speak to you. So now what are my thought about connectivity?
Saying connected is not a mindset or what you do. Its the condition of your heart. If you position your heart to seek God. To knock, and then continue knocking when you do not get him at the door. If my heart gives God no rest, he will surely show up and provide me with whatever I am asking for because I was persistant. I wanted him so bad I didn't give up. Press, press and press some more.
